The Worldtech Thanksgiving Cricket Outing

Where:  Amberpet Water Works Ground, Hyderabad
When:  7 a.m. to 5 p.m., November 26, 2010

Waiting for tea at 7 a.m. on a cold morning, Dr. Ramesh took to the nets.  While the 30 odd people watched with some skepticism, he proceeded to break a couple of leg spinners, his wristwatch, and his radius and ulna, along with delivering a few top notch deliveries (something that he avoided in college) before retiring clutching his chest with one hand and his forearm with the other.

Shoeb, Raghav, and Gang walked in early too.  The one-km dirt riding track did not do much to dampen their spirits and they put up a brave fight well into the day.

The gunpowder plot conspirators in an early morning huddle.  The gathering was stimulating, the mist dense, and all of us kept looking out for the next person walking in.

Frantic phone calls for directions were not aided by the poor signal quality on the ground, a must remember for next tournaments.

This is the cooling system for the amp.  We didnt figure out how hot the music would be getting as the morning gave way to the afternoon, and Zaheer, Charles, Raghav, Vijay, Sadashiv, Sharma, and many others took to "the floor."
Storks waiting for food to swoop in on at a outflow on the way to the Waterworks ground.

The access route for the ground has a wide variety of traffic on it.
Watching the men dance gives rise to different reactions in different people.

The juniors too were important participants, paying attention to detail while the grown ups pondered the larger picture.

Strategies were made, dissected, and demolished as the race for the finals drew closer.
